From Collapse to Flow: My Journey

I was a high-functioning mask-wearer who appeared to have it all together. Creative, tech-savvy, and always equipped with the latest productivity tools, I managed to hide my struggles and performance issues behind humor and intelligence (and excuses). But underneath? I was a hot mess. A maze of sticky notes, abandoned planners, self-loathing and low-grade always-kinda-there anxiety.
Then everything collapsed.
Through a brutal divorce, getting sober, and living alone for the first time in 20 years, my carefully constructed coping mechanisms crumbled. A late diagnosis of ADHD, and discovery of autism too, finally explained a lifetime of "failures" - the missed appointments, the unfinished projects, stimming, the OCDs, self-medicating and the overwhelming exhaustion from trying to fit into neurotypical patterns.
The only thing my doctor offered was a prescription for adderall and a pointless pamphlet. No CBT, no tips and tricks or therapy. Nada. And, uhhhh, let's just say it's not a good idea to feed this Mama Bear any Schedule I or II controlled substances.
I didn't even know myself or how I really operated and what I needed. Instead of seeking another system to fail at, I began studying my own natural rhythms. When was I most focused? When did I need rest? What activities fed my energy versus drained it?
A pattern emerged.
I noticed certain days naturally aligned with specific energies. This became my special interest, leading me down rabbit holes studying ancient calendar systems and weekly rhythms. Over the years, I had also come up with (or discovered) many techniques and resources that really helped me to get out of freeze, overwhelm and depression and burnout. What started as personal observation evolved into the 7-Day OS - a framework that worked with my brain's natural patterns instead of against them.
Research later confirmed what survival had taught me: these methods were scientifically proven to improve mental health, productivity, and quality of life for neurodivergent minds.
This system has carried me through life's hardest storms - losing both parents, business challenges, periods of depression and traumatic life events - helping me recover faster and with less collateral damage each time. It's like my past self created it for my future self, for situations I didn't know I'd face!
The framework hasn't changed in over a decade because it works. Not just for me, but for many others I've taught, who've used it to transform their daily chaos into sustainable flow.
